The Gene Autry Show - 'Season 1' Set Scheduled for the Show with the Singing Cowboy


Look for TMG's first release of the legendary program in early June!

    For the first time on DVD, the complete Season One of Gene Autry's landmark television series The Gene Autry Show is brought home in these fully restored and uncut episodes from Autry's personal film and television archive. The program follows the adventures of singing cowboy Gene Autry, his Wonder Horse Champion, and his sidekick Pat Buttram, who travel the Southwest to maintain law and order. The series is a collection of stand-alone half-hour episodes: sometimes Gene and Pat know each other sometimes they do not: some shows are set in the past and some are in the near present of the early 1950s. Each unique show has Gene's trademark mixture of action, comedy, and singing.
Recently we reported that it was on the way...now TMG tells us that they have scheduled a June 7 release date for The Gene Autry Show - Season 1 on DVD! This 3-disc set contains 26 fully restored black-and-white episodes running approx. 600 minutes. Cost is $34.98 SRP, and here is a look at the package art:
