It's been a bit over a month since we
reported about a DVDPlanet listing for something they called "Garfield - The Prime Time Giftset." Fox Home Entertainment told us that this would consist of a 3-DVD bundle package of previously-released discs featuring the fat feline's primetime specials:
Garfield as Himself, Garfield Travel Adventures, and
Garfield Fantasies (the fourth such release,
Holiday Celebrations, is NOT part of this set). This set lists for $29.98 (CA$34.98 in Canada) and arrives on
Oct. 18th. At the end of the week which just passed, Fox made the box art available for the first time, and it reveals that the new title for this release is
Garfield - Cat Tales. Here's the box:
Also, with the
Garfield and Friends - Volume 4 release just a couple of weeks away (8/30), fans may be wondering when to expect the 5th Volume of the regular series. Never fear,
Garfield and Friends - Volume 5 will be released on December 6th, if current plans hold. Stay tuned and we'll bring you all the details about that one in the very near future.
