A while ago, we got
the heads-up (courtesy of Amazon.com's
pre-order listing) that a fourth disc of Garfield specials was coming from Fox on
May 24th. The studio has now officially announced the release, which goes for $14.98 SRP in the US and $16.98 SRP in Canada.
As we suspected, the contents of this DVD are the 22-minute "Garfield's Babes and Bullets" from 1989, the hour-long (with commercials) 1988 special "Garfield: His 9 Lives," and another 22-minute special from 1990 called "Garfield's Feline Fantasies." The only "extras" are a couple of marketing trailers: one for
Garfield, and one for
Strawberry Shortcake.
English Stereo and Spanish Mono sound is provided, and so are subtitles for both languages. Video is full frame. Stay tuned for cover art; we'll bring that to you just as soon as we can peel the folks at Fox away from from the lasagna!
