Word has reached us that CBS/Paramount is gearing up to release The Game - The 1st Season on DVD later this year. The sitcom began airing on The CW network in 2006, starring Tia Mowry (Sister, Sister), Coby Bell (Third Watch) and Brittany Daniel (That '80s Show, Sweet Valley High). The show, a spin-off of Girlfriends, recently has been announced as canceled following its third season. However, various rumors have surfaced around the 'net that a deal with BET could end up bringing it back in one fashion or another.
With that in mind, it would be no surprise that CBS DVD could possibly want to see what home video sales might be like. We don't have a specific release date for you now, but IF the studio comes through (and we have no guarantees right now that they will; just take this as "gossip" for now) then we could see this title around the August/September timeframe.
