Just a few days ago we
relayed a report from
Video Business trade magazine that Fox was planning a
May 10th release of
Futurama - Monster Robot Maniac Fun Collection. Now we've gotten a heads-up from a reader (our thanks to Wesley Mead) that the folks at the fansite GotFuturama.com have
posted news about the same release on the same day we did, but they cited "inside sources" and passed along a list of which episodes would be included. We've check with Fox on that, and they confirm that these episodes will be on the disc:
- "Hell is Other Robots" (Season 1)
- "Anthology of Interest I" (Season 2)
- "Roswell That Ends Well" (Season 3)
- "The Sting" (Season 4)
GotFuturama.com also discusses possible extras, such as Matt Groenig intros and maybe even commentaries and unseen materials "that have been locked away from us fans". It would be excellent to get that stuff, perhaps making it worthwhile to buy this even for fans who already have all the box sets. Stay tuned and we'll let you know more as soon as we can!
