Amazon.com has begun taking pre-orders for
Futurama - The Complete Collection on DVD. This listing is prior to Fox's official announcement for the title, so instead of a street date it only says "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." The product description included also gives us a clue to when this might be available, as well as the contents and special, limited "Bender-Head" packaging:
Comic Con Exclusive includes all four volumes of Futurama, as well as 4 feature-length adventures: Bender´s Big Score, The Beast With A Billion Backs, Bender´s Game, Into the Wild Green Yonder all contained in a limited edition collectible Bender Head with a numbered letter from Matt Groening and David X. Cohen.
The San Diego Comic Con is July 23-26 this year, so that's the timetable it sounds like we should be looking out for this to become available. Pricing is shown in Amazon's listing to be at $169.98 SRP, and you can lock in your copy at a discount if you place your order now. There are no other details available so far, however, nor is there a picture of the special packaging.
