Who says there are no more great TV Shows to release to DVD for the first time ever? Certainly not us here at TVShowsOnDVD.com! There are still plenty of jewels left in the vaults at studios all over the place, and the original run of
The Fugitive is certainly among the brightest of them.
We first heard whispers of a DVD release
way back in 2004, and we passed on that it "might be quietly in-the-works". Then we gave thanksgiving
late last November when a little-seen studio list was spotted by us to be mentioning
The Fugitive - The 1st Season, Volume 1 as a probable 2007 DVD release.
Now we have our firmest word yet! Our great friends in the retail industry have given us CBS/Paramount's currently-planned street date for this long-awaited TV-DVD package! The particular date they provided is still subject to change, mind you, but it does make it feel really, really firm that this title will soon be on store shelves at long last:

The Day The Running (For The DVDs) Will Stop!
Again, that date is subject to change. But we're very thrilled to get a date, and the timing is right as it is two weeks and a day ahead of the 40th anniversary of the conclusion of the original series' run! We'll let you know if anything changes about that release date when the studio formally announces the title in the weeks ahead. We're also looking for cover art and any other details we can dig up for you, too. Stay tuned!
