The Complete 1st Season

The Fugitive - Season 2, Volume 2 Announced: Date, Specs, Front & Rear Package Art, More!

4-disc collection runs into your town on March 31st

Posted by David Lambert
A new town, a new job, a new identity. The Fugitive returns with a second volume of 16 Season Two episodes, on DVD for the first time! This classic series continues to maintain exceptional standards in storytelling, with nail-biting dramatics and exciting guest stars. David Janssen stars as prison escapee Richard Kimble, the doctor falsely convicted of killing his wife, and determined to prove his innocence by leading Lt. Philip Gerard (Barry Morse) to the one-armed man who committed the crime. Because the compassionate Dr. Kimble has a natural inclination to help people, he always gets involved with strangers in need. But many discover his true identity, and he is forced to return to the road - a road that has no end. He remains The Fugitive!
CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment have announced this morning that The Fugitive - Season 2, Volume 2 will come to DVD on March 31st. This 4-disc set will contain the final 15 episodes from the show's second season, running 773 minutes long.

Guest stars in these episodes include Angie Dickinson, Robert Duvall, Tom Skerritt, Dabney Coleman, Pat Hingle, Katherine Crawford, Bruce Dern, Harry Dean Stanton, Burt Metcalfe, Jack Klugman, Telly Savalas, Norman Fell, Edward Asner, James Doohan, Ed Begley, Richard Anderson, Shirley Knight, Ben Piazza, Steve Forrest and James B. Sikking.

Video will be full screen, shown in the original black-and-white, with English mono audio and closed captioning for the hearing impaired. As with Season 2, Volume 1, the rear package art notes that these episodes are "Transferred From the Original Negative with Restored Audio," and it also includes the fairly-standard disclaimer that "Some episodes may be edited from their original network versions. Music has been changed for this home entertainment verison." Will it be to the same extent as on the most recent release? That's possible, but frankly we cannot know at this moment whether that's true or not. We'll try to get in touch with the studio and find out what we can, so stay tuned for more information about that...hopefully.
