Yesterday we brought you Warner Home Video's
press release, announcing
Fringe - The Complete 1st Season on DVD and high-definition Blu-ray Disc, both available on
September 8th. In the press release, Warner revealed that these releases would arrive in "
a collectible lenticular slipcase," where the image on the packaging changes as you shift your angle of looking at it.
Overnight the studio released still pictures of the box art, in both the "faces" image and the "seahorse/frog/leaf" image that are two of the views on this lenticular packaging. Rather than bring you the static images, though, we've taken it upon ourselves to create animated pictures of those packages, simulating the "lenticular" effect of the box art. Since we exclusively created these on our own, rather than obtain them from the studio, please don't think of it as the "final" version of what the animated effect would look like. Still, you'll get the idea, which is our main intent:
