had the scoop that Universal will release
Friday Night Lights - The 2nd Season on DVD very soon, on
April 22nd. This morning, the studio has confirmed that release date with their official announcement. Yes, fans will get to enjoy these discs pretty soon, if for no other reason than to help drum up more support for the show (which is
finding it very difficult to get renewed).
As with the first season, the cost for this 4-DVD set will be a staggeringly low $29.98 SRP! Video will be Anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1), audio is listed as English - Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, and there are going to be English SDH subtitles present as well.
