Previously-posted box art for next Tuesday's (
August 28th) release of
Friday Night Lights - The 1st Season on DVD showed a picture on the left-side column, center, of "Tim Riggins" (Taylor Kitsch) and "Lyla Garrity" (Minka Kelly) smooching it up. Fans had commented right from the start, though, that "Landry Clarke" (Jesse Plemons) was not shown on the front cover, and should have been. So recently Universal has updated the box art, and exchanged the Tim-Lyla kiss for a publicity shot of Plemons as "Landry". That new front cover is shown below, and is what you'll find on store shelves next week.
As you know, the set is going to sell for a low price of $29.98 SRP (you can
pre-order it from Amazon still for just $19.99!). Still on the fence about picking this up, though? Well, if you are, then just be aware that there is actually a

Update: We just received a copy of the set and it contains the initial box art, not the updated artwork above. Are the review copies different from the sets people will find in stores on the 28th? We don't know for sure, but we're less than a week away from finding out.
