Freaks and Geeks - Sources Say Fans Can Expect Subtle Differences in the Yearbook Edition Binding

Cover material and foil stamp to have less detail than the 2004 Limited Edition, we're told

Yesterday we posted news about the Freaks and Geeks - Yearbook Edition, explaining that it seemed to be identical to the "Limited Edition" yearbook release back in 2004, including the fact that the yearbook itself seems to be the same green color as the original, with an embossed foil-stamp, and - per the "belly band" wrapper around it (see picture below) - it will be an "80-page yearbook packed with exclusive essays, trivia and memorabilia".

We've gotten new word today from a trustworthy source, who saw our story yesterday and wanted us - and the fans! - to know that there ARE going to be some slight differences to the binding of the yearbook in this edition. And that these differences are "likely to please the original collectors".

Explaining further, our source said that "Neither the cover material nor the gold foil stamp on the cover are as nice, or as detailed, as the original exclusive edition had". We're told that there were multiple reasons for those changes, but the primary benefit here is that the original collectors of the limited edition release can be assured that they will "continue to have an edition superior to all others on the market."

Interesting info, and we wanted to pass it on to our readers! We hope this is useful to know.
