This past August we
passed along word that Lionsgate had struck a distribution deal directly with the Jim Henson Company, allowing them to continue to release
Fraggle Rock on home video (which they had previously done through HIT Entertainment). Several releases were quickly announced, all coming on November 3rd:
Fraggle Rock - The Final Season (Season 4),
A Merry Fraggle Holiday and a repackaged
Fraggle Rock - The Complete Series Collection.
What
Fraggle fun does Lionsgate have up their sleeves next? Our friends in the retail world have alerted us today that
February 9th will see the DVD debut of
Fraggle Rock Easter, a single-disc release whose content hasn't been spelled out yet, but presumably will include several episodes with a theme surrounding that holiday. No details, pricing or package art has been made available yet, but stay tuned. We'll fill you in on the official details once Lionsgate Entertainment makes their formal announcement!
