Flight 29 Down - which was actually in production at Discovery Kids before
Lost ever debuted - has been growing in popularity here, despite the fact (or, maybe, because of the fact) that the show's run just recently wrapped up. The 2005 series ran for 2 seasons, then finished up with
Flight 29 Down: The Movie, which aired last Saturday (8/25) and concluded the tale. The first DVD release -
Volume 1 - shipped back in June, and contained the original four episodes from the first season. This past Tuesday, August 28th, saw the release of
Volume 2, with the next four episodes. Both were distributed by Genius Products.
Now, although Genius hasn't issued an official announcement,
Amazon.com is listing the
December 11th release of
Flight 29 Down - Season 1, Volume 3. They aren't taking pre-orders yet; it's just the basic listing. So there are no details such as price, or episode count. However, with only 5 more episodes left in the first season, we expect those all to be on there.
That release date is the same day as the 3rd Season set of
Lost hits DVD and Blu-ray, and that's a great marketing tie-in, so we expect that the date is probably very solid. Stay tuned and we'll be back with more details, and cover art, once we have it all.
