My Favorite Martian - Exec from Jack Chertok Productions Talks Martian on Shokus Internet Radio

With all the strangeness lately regarding DVD releases of My Favorite Martian, now is a great time to get the inside track on what's going on, right? Jack Chertok Television Productions is the rights-owners for this show, as well as others such as Julie Newmar's My Living Doll. Chertok's Licensing Manager, Peter Greenwood, will be the guest tomorrow on Shokus Internet Radio tomorrow. Here are the details:
    SHOKUS INTERNET RADIO GOES "MARTIAN"

Get ready to raise your antennae (but don't disappear)! "Stu's Show" this Wednesday February 20 live at 4:00 p.m. PST (7:00 p.m. EST) on Shokus Internet Radio ( www.shokusradio.com) will feature a salute to the classic 60s sitcom hit, "My Favorite Martian." Stu Shostak's in-studio guests will be Jack Chertok Television executive Peter Greenwood and actor Wayne Stam.

Peter is the official archivist for JCT and is the person responsible for FINALLY getting the third season DVDs out to the public, even if he had to go to Australia to do it. He's also the person in charge of the current project of completely re-mastering the first two seasons of the popular series once again on DVD (season one will be re-released in March by Umbrella Entertainment and will have tons of bonus material on it not previously released by Rhino). Peter will discuss the history of the series in depth - how it was created, cast, and shot (including how they did all the great special effects). In addition, a portion of the show will be dedicated to George Greeley, who scored and conducted all of the music for the series. Cuts from the recently-released original TV soundtrack CD will be played.

Actor Wayne Stam, also appearing on the show, is probably best known for his role as Uncle Martin's 11-year-old nephew Andromeda, who crash-landed on Earth in a famous third season episode. Wayne will share his memories of working on the series with Bill Bixby and Ray Walston.

Both gentlemen will take listener phone calls toll-free during the broadcast at (888) 746-5875 (888-SHOKUS-5).

"Stu's Show" airs live each Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. PST on Shokus Internet Radio ( www.shokusradio.com), with rebroadcasts at the same time daily. Access to the station's feed is free, with no registration required, and is available either by clicking on the ENTER SITE button on the home page, by choosing one of the audio player links on the main.html page or via Itunes by selecting Radio/Eclectic and then locating the station's name alphabetically in the list.

Shokus Internet Radio is a service of Shokus Video, and is "TV on the radio for baby boomers," with live call-in talk shows featuring TV celebrities, interactive telephone game shows, classic stand-up comedy from the great comedians, and big band, easy listening, and 50s/60s golden hits during the morning and afternoon drive times.
Be sure to check out the show and call in with your questions. Peter Greenwood is a great guy who I've spoken to in the past, and I'm sure you'll have a good time with this show. Peter's got a few IMDB credits to his name, too, including playing monster villians in a couple of episodes of Power Rangers and Big Bad Beetleborgs, doing voicework on Gumby's Adventures and The Rescuers Down Under, pitching in on special effects and costumes in episodes of shows like Red Dwarf, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and painting animation cels in specials for Popeye and The Flintstones. Wow, what a resume. We're sure Peter's current job will provide plenty of things to talk about, though!
