It's another season of adventures for "Father" Murphy (Merlin Olsen), who no longer poses as a priest to help take care of a group of orphans. In fact, Murphy gets married to lovely school teacher Mae Woodward (Katherine Cannon), and they add a child of their own to the brood! As the children grow up, Murphy, his sidekick (Moses Gunn) and Mae find themselves tangling with brand-new problems in these 13 unforgettable episodes. Created by Little House on the Prairie's Michael Landon and originally aired from 1981 to 1983, Father Murphy provides quality entertainment for the entire family, touchingly exploring the bonds of family and friendship as tested by the trials of life on the rugged frontier.

Father Murphy - Season 2 on DVD, with the final 13 episodes of the show's short run. The release date is
January 25th, at a cost of $49.99 SRP for 637 minutes of show. Image's flak says that this is a 5-DVD set, but we think that's a typo...the 1st season was 5 discs, and it had 9 more episodes on it than this one does. There are no extras on this release, so with 41% fewer episodes it doesn't make sense to use that many discs.
