Earlier this month we
reported that Shout! Factory's
November 11th DVD release of
Father Knows Best - Season 2 would have several bonus episodes included on the 5-disc set: the Extended Flashback Episode "First Disillusionment", the so-called lost Western episode "Stage To Yuma", and the
Window on Main Street (starring Robert Young) episode "The Teacher".
At the time these extras weren't confirmed by the studio, but now Shout! has verified that these will all be included. The studio has also informed us that there will additionally be a featurette called "Daddy’s Girls, Part 2". This has more All-New Interviews with Lauren Chapin ("Kathy") and Elinor Donahue ("Betty").
But the real question on the minds of fans is whether or not the second season DVD release would contain edited episodes, such as the first season set did. We've passed this question along to Shout! Factory, and we've gotten a response directly from Lorrie Shapiro, Shout!'s Vice President of DVD Production. Here's what Lorrie said:
The first season was a mix of syndicated and non-syndicated episodes. Due to overwhelming fan request, Sony agreed to dig deeper for Season Two, and came up with the longer versions for every episode.
To be crystal-clear, we understand that this means "complete" versions of each episode on this set. We know that this answer will have
