Home Media Magazine, we've found out that Shout! has managed to add even more to this package!
In
a story posted earlier this week,
HMM writer John Latchem passes on new info from the studio. In a previous
HMM article, it was mentioned that a first-season episode called "The Promised Playhouse" was not available in the archives for inclusion on this DVD, so Shout! was culling the existing footage from a flashback episode which aired in season five.
Upon hearing about that, a collector in Dallas checked and found that he had a 16mm print of "The Promised Playhouse" in his personal collection. The print was loaned to Shout! Factory, and they've had time to get it included in this package in the proper place. Shout! Vice President Lorrie Shapiro tells
HMM that the "abridged" version originally planned will still be included as a bonus. However, Shapiro says, there wasn't enough time to get the info on the box changed, so don't be surprised if it still indicates that the original episode is missing from the set. Don't worry...it won't be!
