After what seemed like a very long wait to fans of the Bunker clan, Columbia/TriStar today announced a 3-disc release of "All In The Family: The Complete Second Season." The $39.95 list price item should hit the streets on February 4th (just a bit more than ten months after the release of the first season).
Columbia states a running time of 528 minutes, which translates to 22 minutes per episode. This may alarm fans who'll recall that these shows were approximately 25 minutes each, uncut. However, the studio's minute count was wrong on the First Season, and perhaps is in error again. As Columbia's policy is "unedited," we'll take the running time with a grain of salt.
In a season riddled with classic episodes like Archie's meeting with Sammy Davis Jr., and the introduction of Cousin Maude (play by Beatrice Arthur, and soon spun off into her own series), these 24 episodes are sure to thrill
