From 2002 to 2007, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released the first through sixth seasons, and then in 2010 and 2011 Shout! Factory finished the show's run on DVD with the seventh, eighth and ninth season sets. All nine of these packages contained three discs each, for a total of 27 DVDs of Archie and Edith Bunker (Carroll O'Connor and Jean Stapleton), with Gloria and Mike Stivic (Sally Struthers and Rob Reiner). All in the Family - The Complete Series!
This new package is shown on the box to be a 28-disc set, so we assume that the studio is including new bonus content here. We don't know what that might be yet, though, so stay tuned. The cost is $199.99 SRP, but you can currently pre-order that from Amazon at a very nice discount ($139.99 at the time of this writing...which amounts to just $5 per disc and roughly $15.56 per season; not bad at all.
