Family Guy - Does a Fan Site Message Board Have a List of Volume 9 DVD Contents and Extras?

No official word yet from Fox Home Entertainment on this, so PLEASE take it with a grain of salt for now

Posted by David Lambert
We told you two months ago that Family Guy - Volume 9 is coming to DVD in the Fall 2011 timeframe (despite a promo trailer which give an initial date, later changed, for earlier this month). And the title, list pricing at $49.98 SRP, is available to pre-order at, even though the listing there has no release date because Fox Home Entertainment hasn't formally announced the DVDs yet.

However, a series of message board posts about Volume 9, found at the fan site, today is given credible-sounding information about what the contents will be on this forthcoming 3-disc set. Well, we should it's at least credible-sounding to the MANY readers who have e-mailed us about this information, and while it all sounds good to us we're painfully aware that there's no way for us to currently confirm this info directly with the studio...if we contact them now I'm really sure that their only response would be "we haven't announced that title yet."

So there's no way for us to be certain yet that any of the following is accurate, but we'll pass it along for now and let our readers judge for themselves. Note that the extras were posted today, and that the disc-by-disc breakdown was first posted a couple of weeks ago, but then updated today. Both come from a "probationary" message board member who goes by the handle "RJS160." It's interesting to see that the third disc, as listed below, jumps right to the first few episodes of the ninth season, without including the sold-separately episodes of the Something Something Something Dark Side special Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back parody, or the unaired episode Partial Terms of Endearment, which deals with the controversial topic of abortion. Is this content listing for real? We'll find out in the not-too-distant future, we're sure! Stay tuned for updates.
