This past Tuesday,
American Dad - Volume 6 DVD sets were released by Fox Home Entertainment. Fans have found that inside of these packages there's an insert by the studio, promoting the DVDs available for several of Fox's "animation domination" programs. Thanks VERY much to reader Mike Kenwell, we've got a scan for you at the bottom of this insert. On the third item over at the bottom row, it tells us that
Family Guy - Volume 9 is "coming soon." Actually, we've known that since last November, because
Amazon's pre-order listing went up very early for this title! However, on this new insert there's also an early look at the package art there, which we have for you on the right (could be subject to change).
Keep in mind, however, that Fox hasn't announced the product to retailers or press yet. Therefore, no release timeframe or other official details are available as of this writing. Still, there IS a date we can pass along to you! Now, we haven't seen the
American Dad - Volume 6 DVDs for ourselves just yet, so we can't personally confirm this. But we have had multiple readers who have that set, and are e-mailing us that in there it tells fans to expect
Family Guy - Volume 9 to be available on
June 14th. But that the studio hasn't announced the title to retailers or press yet, so it may not be a finalized date and could move, of course. If you mark it on your calendars, please use pencil for now! But stay tuned, and we'll update you as further developments occur.
