Fox Home Entertainment issued a
press release two months ago, announcing the
December 21st releases of
Family Guy - It's a Trap on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc, the final special
Star Wars spoof produced for the animated series. That press release also announced that day-and-date with
It's a Trap, Fox will also be making available
Family Guy - The Star Wars Trilogy on both DVD and Blu-ray, collecting all three of these specials together into one set.
Note that this BD version of that 3-pack will mark the Blu debut of the first of these specials,
Family Guy - Blue Harvest (the second
Star Wars spoof in this series,
Family Guy - Something, Something, Something Dark Side, has been available in the high-def format since this past December).
Today Fox released to retailers some additional information about these four upcoming items. First up is the pricing:
Family Guy - It's a Trap on DVD will cost $22.98 SRP in the USA, and CA$25.98 SRP in Canada. On Blu-ray the same title will cost $29.99 SRP in the USA, and CA$32.99 SRP in Canada. For the DVD version of
Family Guy - The Star Wars Trilogy, list pricing is set at $34.98 SRP in the USA, and CA$46.98 SRP in Canada. On the BD version of the three-pack, cost is $39.99 SRP in the USA, and CA$49.99 SRP in Canada. Honestly, the pricing sounds a bit low for these trilogy sets, but that's the info supplied to retailers today by the studio, so we're going with that unless we hear differently.
Bonus material on the trilogy sets, we're informed, will be identical to the extras found on the separate titles. The list of supplements the studio gave retailers today for
Family Guy - It's a Trap include Deleted Scenes, "Trivial Pursuit," "Dinner and a Movie," "Family Guy at Comic-con 2010," "Peter Shin Draws," "Making the Scene," an Animatic, and an Original Voice Over Skit. Keep in mind, please, that this may not be finalized yet, and could be subject to change. Package art was previously provided for
It's a Trap, and we've got that again for you below. The packaging for
Family Guy - The Star Wars Trilogy apparently hasn't been finalized yet, however, so stay tuned and we'll bring that to you just as soon as it's available!
