Back in late October 2007, Fox Home Entertainment released the
Family Guy - Freakin' Party Pack. This was a big set that packed in
Family Guy Volumes 1-5 all together, plus
Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, along with a
Family Guy-themed ping-pong set including paddles, a net and balls, plus 100
Family Guy-themed poker chips with two sets of playing cards, all in a collectible carrying case.
This
October 21st, almost exactly a year later, Fox will update this release to the
Family Guy - Freakin' Sweet Party Pack. That's right, the titles are almost identical, except they've added the word "Sweet." And that's not all they've added, naturally: this time the set includes the DVDs mentioned above, plus the
Family Guy - Blue Harvest disc released earlier this year, the just-announced
Family Guy - Volume 6 set, and for grins and giggles you'll even get
American Dad - Volume 1.
The collectible carrying case looks to be designed basically the same way as the previous one, although with different graphics on the panels (see it below). And the package art has a burst on it showing that the ping-pong set and poker stuff is going to be included once more (either the same as before, or similar...perhaps with new designs/art, like the box itself). So that's the game equipment, and 22 discs with over 100 episodes. Cost is $169.98 SRP for the lot!
