As we've reported,
Family Guy - Volume 7 is coming to DVD in the USA and Canada on
June 16th. But that three-disc set isn't the only
FG release coming from Fox Home Entertainment on that day! We've learned from sources among our Canadian retail friends that Fox also releasing a
Family Guy - 100th Episode Celebration DVD on that same day.
The 45-minute disc will have Episode #100, "Stewie Kills Lois" (originally aired Nov. 4, 2007), as well as Episode #101, "Lois Kills Stewie" (originally aired Nov. 11, 2007). It will also contain the "100th Episode Special" that aired just prior to the "Stewie Kills Lois" epsiode; this half-hour tribute to the show goes over some of the fan-favorite moments from previous episodes.
Other extras on this disc include 4 Deleted Scenes, a "Making of the 100th Episode" featurette, a Top 10 Countdown, a Table Read and Promo Spots. Video is full-frame, and audio is English Dolby Surround. Much of this material is available on the previously-released
Volume 6 set, of course, but this may appeal to fans looking for a budget-priced release for a popular installment of the show. The cost, according to our Canadian source, is CA$11.98 SRP. No list price is available for a USA release, and none of our USA contacts among retailers seem to be aware of this title. Could this be a release that's only meant for north of the border? Possibly. There's no cover art available yet, either, but stay tuned and we'll update you if we find out anything further.
