It's still a little over a month before the
Family Affair - Season 1 DVD set hits, but one of our readers has spotted already-month-old news about the second season set! We give our thanks to sharped-eyed Erik Cram, who told us about the following
post in the April news at KathyGarver.com. Garver, as you know, played big sister "Cissy" in the series, and has recorded some extras for the first season set. She's also apparently done the same for
Season 2, plus this website also has the heads-up on when you'll see it in stores:
Kathy has completed the featurette for the second season release of the Family Affair DVD's. The first season will be released June 25, second season the end of August. Look for them at Best Buy, Circuit City, Amazon.com or order them from Kathy and you'll receive an autographed picture along with your order.
Please note that the quote above is from that website, not TVShowsOnDVD.com; the date given for the first season release is a Sunday. DVDs are almost always released on Tuesdays, and so
Family Affair - Season 1 will actually be in stores on
June 27th (per MPI). As to the August timeframe of the second season, we'll try to confirm that with MPI Home Video, but until an official announcement please always take it with a grain of salt. We think that this is certainly good evidence that a second season is on the way, though, so we can jump for joy about that! Stay tuned...
