Back in late September, we
reported that Chef Gordon Ramsay's
The F Word - The Complete Collection Set would be coming to DVD from BFS Entertainment, an Uncensored 19-disc set with all 5 series (seasons) of the show, plus the Christmas Special. At the time, the date provided for this title to be available was October 30th. It wasn't available at that time, however, and while a reason wasn't specifically given, we would GUESS that the hold-up may have been surrounding
Series 2, Episode 2.
You see, when the individual
Series 2 release came out, a big deal wasn't made of it, but the second episode of that series (with Sir Cliff Richard appearing in it, along with Janet Street-Porter's second-ever appearance in the program out of 18 total) was not included on the DVDs due to unspecified clearance issues. It could be that BFS was trying to get this episode put back in for the
Complete Collection, perhaps? If so then their efforts were not successful; it's still not found on the discs, and for the same reasons. But 52 episodes are included, the studio says.
And while BFS hasn't ever sent the press a new "hard" street date for this title, apparently they have been doing a "soft release," sending copies out here and there, because some retailers have gotten copies to sell, and some fans tell us they actually have copies in-hand. Other retailers still show it as a future title with an unspecified date, and both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca show it as "out of stock" at this time. The official BFS public website, however, talks about it like it's currently available, and they're finally providing package art as well:
