Although we haven't seen an official declaration yet from the network, word has been spreading around the web overnight that The CW is in the process of canceling Everybody Hates Chris, with formal word reaching the media about that possibly sometime today. How ironic it is, then, that Paramount Home Entertainment also picked today to announce that Everybody Hates Chris - The 4th Season is coming to DVD.
Not a lot of detail was provided with this home video announcement, however. The street date is August 18th, for 22 episodes running approximately 420 minutes. Guest stars include Orlando Jones, Reggie White Jr., Todd Bridges, Steve Landesberg, Kadeem Hardison, Fred Willard, Bootsy Collins and Vanessa Williams, among others. Video is in widescreen, audio in English 5.1, and it is closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Pricing, package art and other details aren't available so far.
