We've gotten word from our retail friends - just in time for Christmas! - that CBS/Paramount is planning on releasing season sets for the popular 1990 CBS series Evening Shade, starring Burt Reynolds as an ex-pro football player who moves back to his small town in Arkansas to be a high school football coach. With the popularity of the current hit Friday Night Lights, it makes sense to bring this show out now, and we've heard that the plan is to release Evening Shade - Season 1 on June 24th!
Co-stars include Marilu Henner (Taxi), Michael Jeter (The Green Mile, Jurassic Park III), Charles Durning (Tootsie, Rescue Me), Ossie Davis (The Stand, B.L. Stryker) Hal Holbrook (Lincoln, Ann Wedgeworth (Three's Company) and Tony-Award-winning Broadway star Elizabeth Ashley. As if the expansive regular cast isn't enough, among these 24 episodes you'll find guest appearances by Billy Bob Thornton, Ted McGinley, Sally Kellerman, Charles Nelson Reilly, Erin Gray, Brian Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Terry Bradshaw!
