Everything you thought you knew about the small town of Eureka is about to change. Sheriff Carter (Colin Ferguson) and the resident geniuses are accustomed to the strange occurrences that make their town unlike any other. But when five of them are shunted back in time to Eureka's Founder's Day, their return trip delivers them to a present-day Eureka that's anything but familiar. With new jobs, new residents and new romances in store, it's definitely not business as usual in this small town where the big secrets just got even bigger. Same town. Big changes.
Last fall we
reported that
Eureka - Season 4.0 was coming to DVD, and that
Amazon.com's listing was already taking pre-orders. A few weeks ago we passed along word that the big e-tailer's entry had been updated to show a release date, June 21st. Today Universal Studio Home Entertainment has formally announced the title, and the official street date provided by the studio turns out to be 2 weeks later than Amazon's listing shows:
July 5th is when it will actually be available.
The cost shown at Amazon for
Eureka - Season 4.0 is also off a bit: the correct list price is $29.98 SRP, according to Universal's official info this morning. That will get you a 2-DVD set with 446 minutes of episodes, presented in anamorphic widescreen video and English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, plus English subtitles. Extras (if any) haven't been provided yet, nor have we gotten a look at the package art so far...but stay tuned, of course, and we'll update you when that material is proved!
