earlier this week,
The Equalizer - Season 1 comes to DVD at last on
February 12th. Some retailers are already taking pre-orders for it, such as
DVDEmpire.com, currently charging $39.48 for a pre-purchase. We're still waiting on cover art for this, but Universal has sent out the description of the release, including extras:
Edward Woodward stars as Robert McCall, an ex-covert operative spy who offers his services as a private detective to those in need. Got a problem? Odds against you? Call The Equalizer!
This 5-Disc Set Includes:
- All 22 Suspense-Filled Episodes of Season 1
- Commentary with the Show's Creator, Michael Sloan
- And a Bonus Episode from Season 2
For those of you not aware of it, a new film remake of
The Equalizer is being planned, looking to hit theaters in 2009. And, speaking of films (which we usually don't do, but...), fans of Edward Woodward may want to be aware that Image Entertainment is planning new releases of his 1980 film,
Breaker Morant. It will be available on both
standard DVD and on
Blu-ray Disc this January 15th. Stay tuned for more updates, especially box art, on
