Just over a year ago we
reported that the BBC drama mini-series
Edge of Darkness - starring Bob Peck, Joanne Whalley and Joe Don Baker - would be coming out on DVD in North America this past February, 2008. As fans well know, that never happened, and no reason for the change was ever given...it just quietly went off the radar! Well, there are signs that the folks at BBC Video may be returning it to the schedule at last. Two different sources, one a retailer and one a wholesaler, have gotten advance word to expect this release to finally happen on
March 3, 2009. Pricing ($34.98 SRP), box art and details are all said to be the same, as far as we can tell. But take it with a grain of salt so far, because the BBC and distributors Warner Home Video haven't made any official announcements yet. Stay tuned, though, and we'll update you if they do!
