The other day we
broke the word that HBO's new series is coming to DVD with
Eastbound and Down - The Complete 1st Season, scheduled for
June 23rd according to a listing at HBO's online shop. However, this morning we've got some new word out of Canada about the release, giving us new details along with package art. We can't help but notice that the release date given is June 30th, but then again it wouldn't be the first time that a package had a different release date north of the border.
The show stars Danny McBride (
Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder), and he figures into the bonus material with participation in 3 Audio Commentaries, along with Creator/Writer/Director Jody Hill and Director David Gordon Green. There's also a "Making of
Eastbound & Down Featurette, a Kenny Powers Demo Reel, some Schaeffer Motors Commercials (mock car commercials featuring Will Ferrell, who is a co-Exec Producer on the series), Deleted Scenes, Outtakes, and "Stevie's Dark Secret." Here's a look at the packaging:
