Late last June, CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment made fans of Kyle Chandler (
Friday Night Lights) VERY happy with the long-awaited DVD release for
Early Edition - The 1st Season. Since then, though, fans have gotten antsy again, wondering when and if the studio would continue with a release of the show's second season.
Today a newspaper landed on our doorstep here at TVShowsOnDVD, and it had a future date on it. The headline read like this: "
DVD Date is Forecast for The 2nd Season of Kyle Chandler's Classic Show". Skimming over the the details, we see that one of our readers, who only used their initials "NK", had called the customer service line at the studio and asked about
Early Edition - The 2nd Season. The customer service agent on the phone told NK that the availability date for this release is
July 28th.
While the studio hasn't made such an announcement official yet, our own separate industry sources agree that this is the release date that has been bandied about for this title. And, while they say that it's not too likely to move at this point, they also point out that the studio hasn't etched that street date in stone, either, and so it could still be subject to change. Still, it seems solid enough for now to pass on to all of our info-hungry readers here at the site, so we're doing exactly that at this very moment!
