Late yesterday we
posted a story explaining that our two affiliate retail partners, Amazon and DVDEmpire, each were showing different release dates - a week apart - for
How I Met Your Mother - Season 3 on DVD. This morning we've found the same situation with another release which we've
previously reported on.
My Name Is Earl - Season 3 has had a
an Amazon pre-order listing since mid-May which shows a release date of
September 23rd, and continues to have that date as of this writing. However, other retailers are now beginning to join in, including
DVDEmpire's pre-order listing that shows
September 30th instead!
Which date is correct? We expect that to be cleared up for certain soon, when the title is officially announced to the press by the studio. For now, though, each site agrees that the cost is going to be $49.98 SRP (but you can lock in your copy at a discounted price if you pre-order now at either of the above links). Video is widescreen, audio is English - Dolby Digital 5.1, and subtitles are English, Spanish and French. This 4-disc set runs 556 minutes for 18 episodes (4 of them, including the season premiere and season finale, are double-length episodes). Extras are definitely going to be on board, but we don't have a list of them yet. Stay tuned for that, and package art, as soon as they're available.
