Created by best-selling author Michael Crichton, this series centers on the medical personnel in the emergency room of a Chicago county hospital. ER tracks the inner workings of County General Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center where heroic doctors and nurses are faced with life-and-death decisions on a daily basis. In its sixth season, ER received 9 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.
Warner Bros is set to release the second
ER season for 2006 with the announcement that season 6 will be out on
December 19 (almost the same day as season 4 was released last year). Get ready for another 22 episodes on 6 discs, presented in Anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1) and English stereo audio, along with subtitles in French and Spanish. Extras include deleted scenes. The set will retail for the familiar list price of $49.98.

Goran Visnjic joins the cast as Dr. Luka Kovac, Maura Tierney first appears as Nurse (yes Nurse!) Abby Lockhart, and we also see actress Michael Michele join for a few seasons as Dr. Cleo Finch. Ming-Na returns as Dr. Chen, who hasn't been seen since the first season of the show. At the end of the season, Julianna Margulies makes her final appearance as Nurse Carol Hathaway.
