The Complete 1st Season

ER - The Complete 12th Season DVD Brings John Stamos, John Leguizamo, James Woods and More!

6-DVD collection coming to join fan collections on January 12th

Posted by David Lambert
Look who's checked in at County General: Dr. Victor Clemente arrives with a motor mouth, a load of talent and a questionable past. Imposing, no-nonsense Eve Spellman takes charge (and almost takes over) as the new nurse manager. And hunky paramedic Tony Gates proves he's more than a guy on the make.

Season 12 also brings spiraling drama and suspense to the lives of ER veterans. Abby and Kovac share unexpected news. Gallant comes home from Iraq to be with Neela. Pratt goes to Darfur to work with Carter. And burn victims, stabbing victims, gunshot victims, assault victims - young and old, male and female, grateful and combative - keep the ER on edge. And sometimes over the edge.
Warner Home Video has announced the January 12th release of ER - The Complete 12th Season. This 6-DVD release includes all 22 episodes, plus bonus "Outpatient Outtakes" (unaired scenes). Video will be in widescreen, audio in English Dolby Surround 5.1, and subtitles are available in English, French, Chinese and Portuguese. Running time is 1012 minutes. Cost is $49.98 SRP, but you can pre-order this title from at a discount.

Noah Wyle, after leaving the show as a regular at the end of the previous season, returns as "Dr. John Carter" for 4 episodes in a special storyline about Darfur that also draws in Dr. Gregory Pratt (Mekhi Phifer). Sherry Stringfield as "Dr. Susan Lewis" makes her final regular appearance this season, while Sharif Atkins re-appears as "Dr. Michael Gallant." John Leguizamo joins for this year as "Dr. Victor Clemente," and also appearing for the first time is John Stamos as "Tony Gates" (not yet a doctor during this season). James Woods (Ghosts of Mississippi, Shark) was nominated for an Emmy Award as a result of his guest appearance this year. It's also worth noting that this is the final season which used the original opening credits-and-theme sequence on a regular basis, which wouldn't be seen again until the series finale (the end of Season 15).

Other guest stars during the 12th season, many of them recurring, included Sara Gilbert (Roseanne, Big Bang Theory), Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon films, Brothers & Sisters), Sam Jones III (Smallville), Amy Aquino (Picket Fences, Felicity), Kristen Johnston (3rd Rock from the Sun), Megan Ward (General Hospital, Dark Skies), David DeLuise (Wizards of Waverly Place, 3rd Rock from the Sun), Stana Katic (Castle, Heroes), C. Thomas Howell (Southland, Red Dawn), tennis superstar Serena Williams, Lisa Gay Hamilton (The Practice, Jackie Brown), Harve Presnell (The Pretender, Andy Barker P.I.), Armand Assante (Little Darlings, Gotti), China Jesusita Shavers (Boston Public, Sabrina: The Teenage Witch), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters, Oz, Desperate Housewives), Diane Ladd (Alice, Christmas Vacation, Chinatown) and Mary McCormack (The West Wing, Murder One), among many others.

Package art isn't available yet, but stay tuned and we'll bring you that just as soon as we can!
