Truscott IV's best-selling novel. When freshman cadet David Hand (Patrick Cassidy) is found dead in a river, the evidence shows he'd had sex with an upperclassman before he was deliberately drowned.

Intent on avoiding a scandal, Academy commandant General Charles Hedges (Holbrook) suppresses the truth and declares it an accident. But when sergeant cadet Ry Slaight (Baldwin) learns of the cover-up and threatens exposure, he's forced to find the killer before Hedges can falsify charges and have him expelled.

The Warner Archive Collection has today (November 13th) released a DVD of Dress Gray, the two-part 1986 mini-series adapted by Gore Vidal from a novel by Lucian K. Truscott IV. A young Alec Baldwin leads a cast of stars in this 192-minute drama. As a newly-available manufacture on demand (MOD) title from Warner, it's currently only available to U.S. customers at the WBshop.com online store (see button link below) for $18.95 SRP.
