Sony's July slate of home video releases was recently revealed to retailers in an early heads-up. It seems that there's only a single TV-DVD release on the schedule for that month...but it's a big one! Fans of I Dream of Jeannie have been wondering when the fifth and final season will make it to DVD, and we can tell you that all 26 magical episodes - including wedding bells for Jeannie and Tony - will come home in July.
Among the guest stars you'll see are Jackie Coogan (The Addams Family), Judith Baldwin (Rescue from Gilligan's Island), Farrah Fawcett (Charlie's Angels), Michael Ansara (Star Trek's "Kang" and Barbara Eden's husband at the time), Alan Oppenheimer (The Six Million Dollar Man, He-Man), Ned Wertimer (The Jeffersons), Herbert Rudley (The Mothers-In-Law) and Dick Van Patten (Eight is Enough).
We can't let the release date and other details out of the bag yet for I Dream of Jeannie - The Complete 5th and Final Season, because we would like to try and abide by the studio's proper announce date (which is next Monday). So we'll hold off until then (unless somebody else breaks the rules and spills the beans first), and just classify this as "gossip" until that time, okay?
