I Dream of Jeannie - Barbara's Navel Appears on the Cover of Sony's '15 Years Later' DVD

The 1985 reunion special will be available New Year's Day via MOD

Posted by David Lambert
It's always been a classic piece of television trivia that during the original broadcast run for I Dream of Jeannie, show star Barbara Eden wasn't allowed by the censors to show off her belly button: the navel was a no-no! So with the reunion telefilm, I Dream of Jeannie - 15 Years Later, it's no surprise that the changing times of 1985 allowed Eden to finally show off her midsection, in all of its glory. And with Sony's January 1st DVD release of this title, Barbara is shown on the package cover art with her navel on display at long last; you can see that for yourself below!

Please keep in mind that Eden's original co-star Larry Hagman, who sadly passed away last Friday, wasn't available to shoot this special, so Wayne Rogers (M*A*S*H) filled in for him as "Tony Nelson." Since this is an MOD (manufacture on demand) title, part of Sony's Choice Collection program, it won't be available in stores. Instead you'll be able to find it online at places such as Amazon's CreateSpace and WBshop's Warner Archives...but it's not up for pre-order yet. Stay tuned!
