The Warner Archive Collection has been doing very well for itself since it was introduced, and studio exec George Feltenstein spoke about the manufacture on demand (MOD) program in
an article yesterday at the
New York Post. In it, he had interesting things to say about the DVD chances for the classic series,
Dr. Kildare...here's a quote:
Sometimes the elements are fine but there are other issues holding up a release. "We get a lot of requests for the Dr. Kildare TV series with Richard Chamberlain, but we could never clear the music because we couldn't find the cue sheets,' Feltenstein says. "Now we have, and it will probably be out next year -- along with all of the Dr. Kildare movies, of course.'
Our thanks to reader Ivan G. Shreve, Jr. for pointing this story out to us. We'll be keeping an eye out for the first MOD release of this show, and let you know as further developments occur. Stay tuned!
