Yesterday we
posted a story with info from Jon Benjamin (who played "Ben") that he had recorded commentary tracks for
Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist - Season 1 on DVD. Industry insiders saw our story, and wrote in on condition of anonymity to tell us that this release is tentatively planned for the
Fall, 2006 timeline.
In addition to Jon Benjamin, show star Jonathan Katz has also recorded a commentary track as well, we were told. And there possibly may be one other participant as well. The show was produced by a number of companies, but Tom Snyder Productions was among them. From what we're hearing, Snyder himself, who is Katz's longtime friend, took the time to participate in extras for the upcoming
Dr. Katz DVDs, too.
None of this info is confirmed by the studio, so let's keep in firmly in the "rumor mill" frame of mind for now. Stay tuned, though, and we'll bring you further updates and developments on this long-anticipated DVD release just as soon as we find out about them.
