Ever since TVShowsOnDVD.com got started, we've heard from fans of
Dr. Katz regularly who have been pining for this show to come to DVD. Now at long last it sounds like they will get their wish! H. Jon Benjamin, who performed the voice of Ben (Dr. Katz's son) on the Emmy-winning animated show, was interviewed earlier this month by "The Sound of Young America" public radio program. In it, he mentioned his involvement in extras for the first season on DVD.

At the Sound of Young America archive web page you can scroll down to the January 7th, 2006 entry and find the Jon Benjamin entry there. The best and easiest thing to do is to find the "web-only bonus" version of the interview, which is the complete uncut interview instead of the half-length segment that was actually aired. In the uncut interview, at the 10 minute 55 second mark, is where the following quote is made after some "squiggle vision" discussion:
Yeah, we just did the DVD commentary for the first season of Dr. Katz.
There it is, it doesn't get any simpler than that! We don't have confirmation from the studio yet, but once we get that we will bring you a release date and all the other vital info.
