The Doris Day Show - Season 5 is coming to DVD soon. As the next-to-last season hits the stores tomorrow, the folks at the studio are pulling together the final 24 episodes from the 5th and last season, planning to release it sometime later this year. That will come out in conjunction with Day's 1975 music/comedy special
Doris Day Today, which includes John Denver as Doris' guest. We'll have a specific release date for you as soon as MPI finalizes it.
The producers of the 4-disc DVD set are working hard, we're told, to bring you "a wealth of bonus DVD materials" on this Season 5 set. The part that will make Doris Day fans very happy, though, is that Doris herself will provide brand new episode commentaries for the first time ever. Wow, what a great get!
MPI was also wonderful enough to send us over the first look at the cover art for this planned release. Since it's so far off, we suppose it safe to assume that this art could change, but it looks terrific just the way it is! Stay tuned for more info whenever it comes available.
