A month ago today we
showed off the early package art for MPI Home Video's
November 25th release of
The Doris Day Show - The Complete Series on DVD. At the time, though, we warned you not to get used to it, because it could be "changing completely." That is indeed what's happened, and late yesterday the new version was released to the public with a new picture at Amazon.
However, we've got our own exclusive shots of the packaging. The studio sent over the raw two-dimensional artwork for the various panels of the new packaging, and we've worked with them in PhotoShop to simulate a 3-D look at it. There's an outer slip case, and an inner "carrier" with an angled cut to it that holds the disc cases in it. We've put them together to show what the outer "box" would look like on the shelf, and then simulated the act of sliding the slip cover off to reveal a picture on the inside.
Further down we've also got a "flat" look at the back side of the package, again with the disc carrier being slid out of the main case, to reveal an interior picture. Finally, at the bottom, we provide a close-up look at the Special Features and Specs portions of the rear artwork, so you can see all of the extras and other details about this release. As all of these pictures are items I've created myself from raw materials, please forgive the TVShowsOnDVD watermark in the middle of each picture, as I would hate for all of my hard work to be snatched up by other websites! Enjoy:
