The Donna Reed Show - The Complete 2nd Season would be coming to DVD on May 5th, according to a listing posted by online retailer DVDEmpire.com. Since then Amazon.com had added a listing for the same release date, even though we hadn't seen a formal announcement for the title from the studio (Virgil Films And Entertainment, the new name for Arts Alliance America).
Now the release listings at both
Amazon and
DVDEmpire have been revised with a new release date. Our own contacts have confirmed that Virgil is spreading the word to retailers that
The Donna Reed Show - The Complete 2nd Season has been delayed, and will now come out on
July 21st. No reason for the change has been given. Stay tuned, though, and we'll bring you the press release and package for this 4-disc set, once Virgil's marketing people send them along.
