Sci Fi Wire has posted an announcement from BBC Worldwide Americas executives that the second season of
Doctor Who will be released on
January 16, 2007. The set will be released on the Tuesday following the season finale on Sci-Fi Channel; the second season starts on September 29. The 6 disc set will include all 13 episodes (plus the Christmas special, unless they decide to leave it off for some reason), along with hours of bonus features including video diaries from David Tennant and Billie Piper, as well as episodes of the behind-the-scenes series
Doctor Who Confidential. The package will feature a lenticular image of the Doctor and Rose:
