A week ago we
reported that the 2005 version of
Doctor Who, starring Christopher Eccleston as the 9th Doctor, was delayed in the USA until the 4th of July holiday, due to the SciFi Channel's pick-up of the show for broadcast in the USA on the popular cable network. The Canadian release, we said at the time, was still on track for its long-planned February 14th release.
No longer, according to the
Amazon.ca pre-order listing. The Canadian arm of Amazon is now showing a
March 7th release date for this set. Our thanks to reader Gary Scott for the important heads-up about this. If you're in the USA and want to order this from Amazon.ca, you're welcome to do it and it will most certainly work on your DVD player (since it's all Region 1). It's three weeks later than it would have been, but it's still four months ahead of the south-of-the-border DVD release!
