Peter Capaldi returns as the Doctor, traveling through time and space in his TARDIS. New traveling companions Bill Pots and Nardole, old enemies with the return of Missy, and lots of adventures are awaiting for him in his season 10 journey!
The tenth series is coming to BBC America this April 15th, and fans can't wait! The 12 episodes of this series is the last for showrunner Steven Moffat (Chris Chibnall of Broadchurch, who previously wrote episodes of Doctor Who, will take over for the next series). Likewise this is the last full series for star Peter Capaldi, who has famously announced that his 12th Doctor will regenerate in the 2017 Christmas Special.
But while we enjoy these final dozen episodes of the dozenth Doctor, we can enjoy him with new companion "Bill," played by Pearl Mackie, and sometimes-companion Nardole, played by recurring co-star Matt Lucas (reprising the role he began in The Husbands of River Song: 2015 Christmas Special and continued in last December's The Return of Doctor Mysterio: 2016 Christmas Special). Michelle Gomez is returning as "Missy," too!
Amazon.com has now added pre-order listings for Doctor Who - The 10th Series, Part 1 on June 6th, and then on August 1st they show Doctor Who - The 10th Series, Part 2. Both are DVD format, and both are $24.98 SRP. There's also a Blu-ray Disc listing for The 10th Series, Part 1, at $29.98 SRP, for the same D-Day date; we're sure a BD version for Part 2 will be added sometime soon. Here's the early Part 1 package art, but it may not be finalized yet and could be subject to change:
