Doctor Who - Date Scheduled for 'The 3rd Series, Part 2' Half-Season DVD Set

The last leg of the season with the 10th Doctor (David Tennant) and Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman)

Posted by David Lambert
Tenth Doctor David Tennant (Broadchurch, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and his companion, Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman, Law and Order UK, The Carrie Diaries) travel across space and time in another set of thrilling adventures. Along the way, Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan (The Great Gatsby, Drive) guest stars in the episode that introduces the terrifying Weeping Angels, Torchwood's Captain Jack (John Barrowman) storms back into the Doctor's life for a trip to the end of the Universe, and in the thrilling 2-part finale of Series Three, the Master hatches a plan to enslave the entire population of the Earth and only Martha Jones has the ability to save all of humankind!
Well, THAT didn't take long! Just the past Monday we reported that the first part was being released as a half-season set on June 10th. Now BBC Home Entertainment and distributor Warner Home Video have announced that Doctor Who - The 3rd Series, Part 2 will be available July 8th for $19.96 SRP. The 2-disc set will come with seven episodes: "42," "Human Nature," "The Family of Blood," "Blink," "Utopia," "The Sound of Drums" and "Last of the Time Lords."

Extras haven't been announced yet, but if the BBC continues on this release as they have with the previous releases of this sort, then we expect them to include a new featurette called, "Doctor Who: A New Dimension - The Making of Doctor Who: Series 3, Part 2." Stay tuned and we'll see if that's what happens. Also stay tuned for the cover art, which hasn't been finalized yet...but we'll bring that to you as soon as we can!
